About Paul

In 1974, the comedy-show duo of Ferguson & Taylor was born in Buffalo, NY and experienced 17 years of success in the music business from stage to recording studio, radio & TV.

The Show Band played throughout the country from the Lake Placid Winter Olympics to the Buena Vista Palace in Disney World, Lake George, NY, Scottsdale, Az., and over 30 years at resorts in Alexandria Bay, NY. From Playboy Clubs to Las Vegas Casinos, Sheratons, Marriott's, Hiltons, Double Trees, Ramada Inns, Hyatt's, Best Western Hotels, and Holiday Inns across the US and Canada to concerts, trade shows and conventions, Ferguson & Taylor were often booked 18 months in advanced.
Paul Ferguson left the group in late summer of 1990 to further his skills in the recording studio as arranger, conductor and producer. During this time he ventured into the country music scene, making several trips to Nashville and working on various studio and stage productions with Grand Ole Opry member, Del Reeves. With new partner (now Dr.) John Peebles the duo Ferguson & Whitfield began in 1991 and this talented singer/songwriter took Ferguson in a new direction. Due to Dr. John’s demanding schedule they can not perform on Thursdays as in past years but you never know what surprises may develop in 2009.
Coinciding with these endeavors, Paul developed a single act, where he successfully entertains people of all ages with a wide variety of musical tastes, with emphasis on Oldies Rock & Country, and a consideration of Top 40, Standards, Swing, Ballads, Reggie, Big Band, Bluegrass, Soul, Jazz & Blues, this one man band is in the prime of his career. Sometimes traveling with the act are long time character favorites, "Mr. P", "Louis", and "K.T. Frog".
From the fall of 1996 to 2001, The very popular Ferguson and Taylor reunited and have played together exclusively. Both Andy Taylor and Paul Ferguson continue to perform as solo acts in winter and team up in the summer to play Andy’s restaurant in Sackets Harbor, NY.
